Hebrew Foundations

The Episcopal Adademy

Course Description and Objective
This course examines the fundamental stories of the Bible that give rise to the three monotheistic religions of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. We will explore the central story of God’s creation of the world and the formation of a people as they move toward greater unity as a nation and a people of God. The goal of this course will be for students to develop an appreciation of those central characters in the Biblical story that became the pillars of our monotheistic heritage. Students will become familiar with these stories and characters in order to form a position on the relevance of these stories in the modern world.
