Environmental Studies in secondary schools is by nature interdisciplinary. Our focus is clearly religion and ecology, but we have come to see that we need to work in-tandem with colleagues in other disciplines as well. In light of that you will find resources here for Religion and Ecology, Environmental Literature and Nature Writers (English), The New Cosmology, the Sciences, Eco-Philosophy and Activism, Sustainability, and History.

Religion and Ecology Websites

Forum on Religion and Ecology

This site is the grandmother of all religion and ecology sites. Housed as a section of Harvard’s Environmental Studies mega-site, this website has enormous resources. Annotated bibliographies, engaged projects, textual resources, introductory articles exist for all the religions. There are links to syllabi, teaching aids, grants, and documents that track the involvement of religions in environmental actions. True to the Forum’s agenda that religions are necessary but not sufficient solutions to the environmental crisis a host of links exist for the Forum’s "dialogue partners" in environmental ethics, science, public policy, and economics. Some of these sections are already up and others are to be posted shortly. Time spent working in the Forum site is well worth your time.
