Parabola
"Parabola", devoted to the study of global myths and religious traditions, is one of the best journals around. Beautifully illustrated and thoughtfully arranged, each quarterly issue is devoted to a particular theme that is then considered from the viewpoint of various religious traditions. Internationally know writers contribute their insights through relatively short articles, and each issue contains a series of myths, legends, or stories that speak directly to the theme of that particular issue. Helpful book reviews in each issue keep one up to date with new books in a variety of fields. Erudite, yet never pedantic, "Parabola" is a journal that secondary teachers of religious studies would both enjoy reading and learn a great deal from. We recommend it highly. "Parabola's" website (www.parabola.org/) is worth spending time with as well. Tom Collins Return to Journals |
