Native American Spirituality

Over fifteen years ago Paulist Press committed itself to a publishing venture that would make available to the reading public accessible and modern translations of the Classics of Western Spirituality. Primarily focused on the Abrahamic traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, with material also on the indigenous religions of the Americas the series now has over one hundred titles in print. All the volumes have lucid introductions which place the author and text in their cultural and religious contexts, suggestions for further reading, and helpful indexes. Translations and commentaries are written by well known and experienced scholars. Not only are these texts "user-friendly" but have been and continue to be valuable resources in the secondary classroom. Current volumes available for Native American spirituality are:

Native Meso-American Spirituality
Native North American Spirituality of the Eastern Woodlands
