The Columbia Contemporary American Religion Series
Columbia Univeristy Press

The first books in this continuing series portray major religious groups - who the adherents are, what they believe, how they affect the American religious landscape, and in turn, how they have been changed by the culture. Later volumes will also explore current themes and topics in American religion that cut across denominational lines. The lucid texts, all written by notable scholars, are supplemented by photographs, charts and tables, annotated bibliographies, profiles of important individuals, and chronologies.
